Carbon Super Light Nest Fishing Rod 8 to 15 Metres for Platform and Large Object Fishing
This fishing rod is designed for anglers who need to cast over longer distances without sacrificing portability. The carbon construction keeps the rod lightweight, reducing fatigue during extended sessions, while the nest (telescopic) design packs the rod down to a compact 1110mm for easy transport. With options from 8 to 15 metres, you can choose the length that best suits your fishing environment, whether on a platform or the bank. Available in 19 Tune and 28 Tune actions, and in silver or gold, this rod offers practical versatility for targeting larger fish.
Features and Construction
The rod combines a strong carbon build with a telescopic section design, making it both portable and capable. Here we look at the material, sizing, and practical fit for different fishing scenarios.
Material and Build
Made from carbon, the rod is notably light for its length, which helps with handling and reduces arm strain during long casts. The 8-section design allows the rod to extend fully while collapsing to just over one metre. The finish is available in silver or gold, and the overall construction is aimed at durability for freshwater or saltwater use.
Size and Practical Fit
The rod comes in eight length variants: 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 metres. Each rod has 8 sections and a collapsed length of 1110mm. The 19 Tune offers a softer action for lighter lines and smaller fish, while the 28 Tune provides a stiffer backbone for setting hooks on larger fish. Choose the length based on your typical casting distance and water conditions.
Uses and Placement
This rod is suited to both event fishing sessions and regular home use, thanks to its portability and versatile length options.
Event or Professional Use
For competition or match fishing on platforms, the longer variants (12-15m) give you the edge to reach distant spots without wading. The light carbon build helps maintain control during rapid strikes, and the nest design means you can move between swims without carrying a long, rigid pole.
Everyday Home Use
For casual anglers fishing from a bank, pier, or small boat, the shorter lengths (8-11m) offer a good balance of reach and manageability. The rod can be set up quickly, and the telescopic sections make it easy to store in a car boot or shed.
Benefits and Buying Value
The key advantages of this rod come from its material choice, portability, and range of sizes, offering value through reuse and low maintenance.
Reuse and Low Maintenance
Rinsing the rod after use, especially in saltwater, and drying the sections before collapsing will prolong its life. The carbon material resists corrosion better than many metal alternatives, reducing the need for frequent replacement. With proper care, this rod can serve as a reliable tool for many seasons.
Why Choose This Product
If you need a long-reach rod that does not weigh you down during travel or fishing, the carbon nest design delivers. The choice of 8 lengths and two actions ensures you get the right tool for your target species and fishing style. There are no unnecessary extras, just a solid, functional rod built to handle large fish at distance.
